I was in New Zealand for 10 days through, and past Easter 2010. Choir was in Auckland for the Australasian Gay & Lesbian Choirs Out and Loud Festival, which commenced Friday night, and culminated on Sunday evening with a Gala Concert at the Auckland Town Hall. It was a great weekend and I made lots of new friends.
On Easter Monday I hired a car for 5 days and from Auckland, visited Rotorua, Lake Taupo, Hawkes Bay, Wellington, and Hamilton, so I had a great time just driving around, checking out the North Island. Fairs were inexpensive, thanks in part to a healthy Australian dollar, so I hope it stays like that. I might go back net year and visit the South Island. Everyone says, that's the more scenic, but the North Island was great as well, and had some great scenery.
Back at work last Monday, and the week wasn't too bad.
Today, Saturday, is a beautiful Autumn day outside. It's about 72 degrees Fahrenheit, 22C, so it would be fun at the beach but I'll give that a miss.
I'm off to the Dr's on Monday morning, to get my right knee checked out, and for a general physical checkup. The knee has been giving me a fair bit of pain for about the last month, so I want to try to find out what shape it's in and what my options are.
Apart from that, all is well.
Hope you are too.
