Yesterday (Saturday) was the Annual Sydney Food and Wine Fair in Hyde Park in the centre of Sydney. The deal is that top restaurants and wineries all have stalls in the park, people pay $10 Aust for a stub of 4 tickets and use those tickets to sample various food and wines, deserts, coffee, beer etc. The proceeds go the the Aids Trust of Australia. Since its early beginnings in a section of David Jones Department Store food hall, the Food and Wine Fair has grown to be a much anticipated annual attraction. Its a great way to combine donating to charity and having a good time. Yesterday was sunny, but not too hot so it was fun sitting on the grass, munching away at food from restaurants I'd never really go anywhere near, drinking wine, having dessert, coffee, goji juice etc. It was a great afternoon, and I managed to stay relatively sober.
This morning at 3am we put our clocks back for daylight saving so lost an hour's sleep, which won't be recovered until March 2007. Had a siesta this afternoon to try to overcome some of the tiredness but still feel a little drowsy.
Apart from that, all is calm.
Managed to stay away from work for the whole weekend.
Have a great week folks.
