Backup, backup, backup is certainly the order of the day. I picked the G4 up from Next Byte on Friday afternoon. The poor thing had been grounded for about two weeks with a busted hard drive. The hard drive was replaced and the Operating System has been upgraded from 10.3 Panther, to 10.4 Tiger, so I'm getting my head around Tiger this weekend. Fortunately, most of the documents and data on the machine had been backed up, but the new drive gives me a non planned chance to clean up the system. The plan is to try to be a little more organised and methodical in the naming conventions of my doco, to backup regularly, and to see how things go.
On the home front, things are fairly quiet. I'm in the midst of a season changing dose of the flu which seems pretty common around Sydney at the moment. Dosing myself up with cough mixture and headache pills, but other than that I'm fine.
Spending a quiet Saturday night in. Not much on TV so just culling the "music library" and sipping on a De Bortoli chardonnay, with cheese and crackers (or biscuits (bikkies) as we call them down here).
Have a good weekend all. Particularly you Stuart. Hope everything is OK. I have a lot of faith in the people up there,so I'm sure things will work out for the best.
