Today, Sunday, was another beautiful day in Sydney, NSW, Australia. It reached 23C/73.4F for the 2nd day running, and that is the middle of winter. It doesn't get much better than that folks. All we need now is rain.
Had a great day today. Spent the afternoon with a bunch of friends celebrating a mate's 65th birthday, at the Easts Leagues Club. These registered clubs, whether they're Leagues Clubs (football clubs), RSL (Returned Servicemen's Leagues) clubs, or bowls clubs, are basically mini casinos, which make their money from poker (slot machines). Most of them subsidise restaurants which do a roaring trade on weekends. We caught a bus from Darlinghurst out to Bondi Junction, had lunch, played the pokies (I won $30), then returned to the host's flat in Darlo for cake, coffee and a champagne toast. Very nice, but after a bit of eating, and a sip or three I felt tired so caught a bus home.
Tonight, I found that somehow Apple's mail had been apparently malfunctioning because I had mail dating back 2 weeks, which wasn't in my Mac Mail account earlier. Anyway, one of the pearls was written approval from the Aussie indie band Junior to use their music on my podcast here. Thanks heaps guys, its much, much appreciated. I'm about half way through Restless, then will move onto A Place In The Sun, then will need to buy some more Aussie indie from Shock Records or similar.
Life is certainly good, home fries. (chortle, chortle)
