I'll make time to pause for reflection at some stage of the day on 1 Dec 04. I'll make time, to think about Lizzie, Andis, and all the others; celebrities and non celebrities; men, women and children who have died from AIDS and related causes. I'll also give thanks to those who are living full, enriching lives, people such as David, Steve and thousands of others in all corners of the world. I'll remember the hatred and the bigotry and lack of understanding shown in the early days of the pandemic and give thanks for caring organisations such as the AIDS Trust of Australia, the AIDS COuncil of NSW (and other state councils), the Community Support Network, Ankali and other organisations worldwide and the thousands of caring volunteers who go out of their way to help these organisations fulfil their goals. And I'll take the time to find a coin or two for the bucket brigade, and thank them for their ongoing good work.
Lest we forget.
