The switch to broadband, and actually getting back online is taking a little longer than I thought. Everything should now be OK phone and line wise, but I've only just ordered a modem, so that'll probably take about a week to arrive. Blogging and blogreading etc has therefore been scant and will be scant for the next few days.
Yesterday morning I went to the Convention Centre at Darling Harbour, for a Home Entertainment Show which at $15 entry was a bit of a ripoff. Mostly large screen tvs etc, but there were one or two pockets for netsters so I was able to visit the Netcomm stand and ask a few questions. I've now purchased online a NB1300 Eternet modem so hopefully once I've received that, its installed etc everything will be up and running again.
After visiting the show I went to Hyde Park (in Sydney) to visit the Food and Wine Fair, which is a fundraiser for the AIDS Trust of Australia. A couple of wines, some blueberry trifle and I was quite mellow. Then visited my mate in hospital, and then back to the F&W for another wine, an early dinner, preset the clocks for daylight saving (leap into spring) i.e. put them forward one hour and had a great night's sleep.
Went into work to do a bit today, and am now in the Internet cafe checking blogs, mail etc.
Its a great day outside; fine and sunny, but a little windy.
Catch up with you during the week.
