I'm Ready for My Closeup

Wow, what a day of mixed emotions. Work 8-4 and then I had to make my way out to Concord, in Sydney's inner western suburbs. It was a 6.30 call at a small suburban church in Concord and they'd been filming for a while. The shot choir was involved with was as a "rehearsal" session where a couple of the stars of the movie sing in the choir. Lots of waiting around, and a few people got to do walk on scenes etc and then the mob (about 30 of us) were actually singing (for a few bars) with cameras rolling. Practice, take 1 and take 2 and that was it. We were out of there at about 9pm and home by 10 thanks to Mr Sunshine, my friend with the car. Otherwise I'd be bussing and training and bussing again.

It was an nteresting experience and the movie (being produced for televesion) should be out mid 2004 so I'll let you know more when we know more.

Tomorrow night is a little different. We've got a do at a Senior Citizens Hostel in Chatswood on Sydney's north shore (about 20-30 minutes by train from the Sydney Town Hall). This will be Christmas carols and should only take about half an hour. Then we'll get to chat for a while with the seniors before leaving, so that'll be fun too.

Saturday is genealogy and then a 25th anniversary for two friends and then Sunday is a carols concert at the Sydney Domestic Terminal.

Thank Evans tomorrow's Friday. Have a great weekend all.

2 lovely emails from two friends so thanks people. I'll reply when I get a bit of time.
