Cue The Scarey Music - Again
Shades of Play Misty For Me. Gentle readers of this site may recall my adventures of two weeks ago. On my way home from Mat and Jono's commitment this happened. Then the following day this happened and I reckoned it may have been because of this. Well, this morning I had a few things that needed doing. I left the house with a pair of shoes that need rehealing (from leather to rubber)and walked down to the Warriewood Square Shopping Centre (local mall) to get a haircut as soon as the hairdresser was opened. I got there about 9.05 and the place was already full, with a no room on the waiting couch so I scrubbed the haircut idea and caught a bus into Manly to visit the shoe repairer.
I got off the bus and was walking down the street when I found myself being involuntarily propelled forward. I turned around and found myself eyeball to eyeball with my crazy female nemesis. I didn't even see her, but she must have been coming out of one of the shops, seen me,and either kicked me in the back or come up and given me an open handed shove. We had a mini verbal confrontation and I dropped the shoes off and was walking across the road to a cafe for a takeaway breakfast crosissant and coffee when she did it again. So we had another verbal confrontation and all the shopers are looking at us as if I'm some kind of misogynist (which I'm not). I told her she was "right outside the Courthouse and the Police Station is next door and if you've got a problem that's the place to go", but she continued to rant. Unsurprisingly the heart rate and breathing had quickened so it was a pleasure to get on the ferry and relax, coming across to Sydney. Friends I've spoken to today reckon I should report it myself, but at least I've got a record of these strange events. She's probably either homeless, or extremely mentally challenged and whether she fixates her agression on me only, or other people as well I don't know. She may be confusing me with someone else, because I absolutely don't know this woman at all, and the first I met her was a few weeks ago when I told her the queue forms to the right.
Paranoid, schizophrenic; me. No, but I have been doing quick 360 pivots everytime I've stopped at intersections etc.
Tonight it's the Bondi Ballet with friends so that'll be fun. Tomorrow is the Newtown Festival, so I might go down and check that out. Stalls, and all sorts and types of people.
Have a good weekend all.
